Crop Bookkeeper

We are seeking a Crop Bookkeeper to provide financial analysis, auditing and accounting support for our growing, family-owned business. From talking with farm managers and company owners to dealing with hay bale counts and large data sets, this is a great opportunity for someone who’s looking for an accounting job that’s outside the norm.

Successful candidates will have:

· An analytical mind, a critical eye for detail and be comfortable with numbers and problem-solving

· A self-starter attitude who prides themselves on producing error-free reports using complex data sets

· Knowledge of theoretical accounting, experience with intercompany eliminations a plus

· Excellent communication and organizational skills as they provide ongoing support to the Controller/CFO, President, managers and farm operations staff

· BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus

· Minimum 3 years’ experience, CPA a plus

· Proficiency in QuickBooks & Microsoft Office, experience with Access a plus

· General accounting functions experience including: AR/AP, posting of journal entries, payroll taxes and reporting, budget preparation, financial and inventory audit/reconciliation, financial tracking and reporting.
