Meet the Minds Behind Gold Dust & Walker Farms’ Growing Success
Back in 1973 it was unlikely that Bill and John Walker foresaw their budding farming operation growing as much as it did. As the original two partners, with the help of Bill’s wife, Jan, the brothers grew their modest grain farm into what would become Gold Dust Potato Processors and Walker Farms.

Diesel Mechanic

 

Tired of turning wrenches in a “regular” shop and looking for a great opportunity to open up your horizons? If you know how to weld and are a hand at working on semis, tractors and all things diesel, check this out! If you are new to your career, then this may be a perfect fit for you.

 

Skills Required:

 

  • 2+ years Diesel Mechanic Experience

  • Welding Experience

  • 18 Wheeler Experience 

  • Bilingual (Spanish) candidates encouraged to apply

Competitive wages - based on experience, comparable to those offered at local dealerships and truck shops.

OTR CDL Class A Driver

 

Our logistics and brokering company, International Express, is hiring over the road (OTR) truck drivers to move freight in the Western United States in a safe and timely manner. 

 

Do you enjoy driving primarily Oregon, California, Washington and Idaho, in trucks less than 10 years old? Drivers home 1-2 nights a week locally. In-house mechanics - we truly value our drivers and support them every way we can.

 

Pay & Benefits:

 

  • 0.48 - 0.63 CPM

  • Pay based on experience level and performance

Driver candidates must meet the following requirements:

 

  • 23 years of age or older

  • 2 years of experience operating tractor-trailer units- farm experience accepted

  • Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations

  • Ability to pass a drug/alcohol test at any time

  • Ability to pass Driving Background check

  • Ability to clearing house background driving check

Boards & Commissions

Part of being involved with the community is being a part of various boards and accepting commissions.

National Potato

board

In 2013 Weston Walker was appointed by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to the National Potato Board. The NPB is instrumental in giving the potato industry a voice in Congress.

Klamath Water

Users Association

Tricia Hill served as a board member on KWUA for several years before being elected as the first woman board president in 2019. KWUA works to ensuring Klamath Basin irrigated agriculture gets the water it needs.

Klamath Drainage District

Since 2019, Bill Walker has sat on the board of KDD, lending his experience to help make decisions on behalf of the irrigation district.
